What changes the total package price?

Your travel date, group composition, number of safaris, hotel category, room sharing, meal plan and pickup location determine the final quote. Ask for permit, vehicle, guide, accommodation, transfers, service charges and applicable taxes to be itemised. A hotel package quoted per person should also state the minimum group size and room-sharing basis.

Comparing quotes? Check that each quote names Bijrani, the same number of safari shifts and the same pickup point. A cheaper offer for a different zone or fewer inclusions is a different trip.

Sample 1-Night, 2-Day Bijrani Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Ramnagar, travel to your chosen hotel and check in according to the hotel’s policy. Keep the afternoon flexible, confirm the next day’s pickup and prepare the identification used for your booking.

Day 2: Meet your safari vehicle at the agreed point and travel to Amdanda Gate for your booked morning shift. After the safari, return for breakfast if included and compatible with hotel service times, then check out and depart.

If you prefer an afternoon safari on Day 1, arrange an early enough arrival and request that shift before finalising the trip. Avoid a tight train-to-gate connection.

Bijrani Safari Timings, Opening Season and Best Time to Visit

The official zone table lists Bijrani day visits from 15 October to 30 June. Opening dates and access remain subject to park notices and conditions. A forest rest house booking has a separate calendar; do not assume the day-visit season also applies to overnight stays.

Green = typical open season, amber = open but hot/dry, red = usually closed for monsoon. *Bijrani opens mid-to-late October and closes by end June, per the official schedule — always check the current-year notice before booking.

Morning or afternoon Bijrani safari?

Choose between the available shifts based on your arrival, hotel location and preference for an early start. Exact reporting, entry and exit times must come from your dated permit and current instructions. Pickup is earlier than gate entry; ask for both times in writing.

Amdanda Gate: How to Reach Bijrani Zone, Jim Corbett

Amdanda is the entry gate for the Bijrani safari. It sits close to Ramnagar town; after entering the gate you cross a buffer stretch before the core safari zone begins. Use Ramnagar as your arrival base, then arrange the transfer to the agreed meeting point. Ramnagar town, the railway station, your resort and the forest gate are different locations, so a single "distance from Ramnagar" figure may not describe your journey.

Share your hotel name or arrival location when requesting a quote. Ask whether pickup is included, how much transfer time to allow and where you should meet the driver. If travelling from Delhi or another city, build in a buffer for road or rail delays.
